Approached by the client who had the opportunity to develop a section of their existing garden, we produced a concept plan and elevations for a new detached 3-bedroom property with separate single garage access via a shared drive. The houses siting closed the existing open streetscape with the frontage set back to link the adjacent properties, building line. The front elevation looked to embrace the local vernacular detailing of the area including the use of a Catslip roof and side sliding Yorkshire sash windows, all used to the proportions of the adjacent properties and the in keeping with the overall character of the village. The scheme gained Planning permission, Parish Council and Conservation Area approval and was sold and constructed directly through the client.
